While the Operator has made every reasonable effort to ensure that the contents of this website have been obtained from reliable sources, we are not responsible for any errors or omissions, or for the results obtained or consequences arising from the use of any of the Contents.

The Operator accepts no responsibility in relation to the accuracy, completeness, usefulness or otherwise, of the contents of any websites, nor does it endorse any views expressed on any websites. Users are advised to check or obtain with the relevant Government institution(-s) and/or other agency(-ies) their own professional advice and conduct all necessary due diligence, including but not limited to making such other investigations or seeking clarifications as may be appropriate, as regards any decision or action that you intend to take in relation to any matter concerning the contents of this website.

Payment Disclaimer

Bill payments by you to E-Gov Services may initially be made through three payment modes such as mobile payment services and credit & debit cards hosted by our designated banks. The Payment Gateway/ Internet Banking service is provided to you in order to facilitate access to pay your bills online. Ministry of Finance makes no representation of any kind, express or implied, as to the operation of the Payment Gateway. You expressly agree that your use of this online payment service is entirely at your own responsibility together with your banker.

The debit/credit card banking details provided by you for use of the Payment Gateway/ Internet Banking will be correct and accurate and you shall not use a Debit/credit card / Net Banking which is not lawfully owned by you. You further agree and undertake to provide correct and valid debit/credit card Banking details.

In default of the above conditions, the Ministry of Finance shall be entitled to recover the number of transactions from the consumer against whose bill the credit/debit card/Net banking has been used. Further, the Ministry of Finance also reserves the right to initiate any legal action for recovery of cost/penalty or any other punitive measure, as it may deem fit.

Refund

The consumer is to be ensured that transaction ID has been generated, the payment was done and the service has been provided. Refund of the money due to above unsuccessful transaction, you have to take up the matter with Ministry of Finance.

If Ministry of Finance is notified for a valid refund request from an End User in regarding the E-Gov Services (or a refund is owed to an End User in accordance with Applicable Laws), Ministry of Finance will promptly proceed with reimbursing such consumer fee.

To the extent permitted by law, the total liability of Ministry of Finance, and its sub-contractors, for any claims under these terms, including for any implied warranties, is limited to the amount you paid to get the E-Gov Services (or, if we choose, to provide you with the Services again).

Third Parties and Affiliate

Ministry of Finance uses a variety of third-party services to help provide our Services, such as agents, internet providers, bankers, and others to help us spread and provide E-Gov Services. There is no extra cost to an End-User to request for any E-Gov service available on this platform apart from the fee fixed by the government and Ministry of Finance will not be liable for any misuse, loss or damage, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages arising out of or in connection with our third parties. This is a comprehensive limitation of liability that applies to all damages of any kind, including (without limitation) compensatory, direct, indirect or consequential damages, loss of data, income or profit, loss of or damage to property and claims of third parties.

Virus protection

The Operator makes every effort to check and test material at all stages of the building of the Government Online Portal of Zambia and other government websites. It is always wise for users to run an anti-virus program on all material downloaded from the internet.

The Operator cannot accept any responsibility for any loss, disruption or damage to any of your data or computer system which may occur whilst ussing a material from this website and the other government websites.

Governing Law

These Terms and any non-contractual obligations arising out of or in connection with them are governed by and shall be construed in accordance with Zambian law. Any dispute relating to or arising out of these Terms and any non-contractual obligations arising out of or in connection with them shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of Zambian courts.

If any of these Terms is declared to be unlawful, invalid, void or for any reason unenforceable, this will have no effect on the validity and enforceability of the remaining provisions of these Terms and shall be replaced by an enforceable provision which reflects the closest position to that intended by the unlawful, invalid, void or unenforceable provision.
