Vehicle Safety Inspection process description

Preparation of necessary documents

On an annual or quarterly basis, depending on the specific situation, the applicant must apply for the vehicle safety inspection process. Prior to applying, the Applicant must fulfill two mandatory conditions:

 

  1. Make sure to have valid Insurance Policy 
  2. Make sure to have paid prescribed fees (the "Road Tax") and thus has valid Motor vehicle licence.

Apply for Motor Vehicle Licence ("Road Tax")

Choose the number of quarters and pay the fees prescribed in order to obtain the permission to use the vehicle on Zambia national roads and obtain the Motor vehicle licence, by selecting to apply for RTSA's Motor Vehicle Licence ("Road Tax") electronic service.

Apply for Safety Inspection ("Road Fitness Test")
